History: Jay Z is now the first rapper to enter the Songwriters Hall of Fame

On the Wednesday February 22, 2017, the Songwriters Hall announced that rap legend Jay Z will be inducted into the Hall at organization’s 48th annual induction and awards dinner on June 15 in New York.

With this Jay Z has made history as the first rapper to be inducted in the songwriters hall of fame. He will join other Songwriters such as Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds, Dolly Parton, Marvin Gaye, Bob Dylan and others who are considered to have enriched the world’s culture.
