Former US President, Obama to run French 2017 Presidency

This is serious matter!..A petition aiming to persuade Barack Obama to run for the French presidency in 2017 has been signed by more than 40,000 people.
A website was set up a week ago to gather signatures as part of a campaign that has now been widely publicised.
It comes after two of the leading candidates in this year’s election race have been hit by a series of scandals.
The website, called Obama2017.fr, said:
“The French are ready to make radical choices. That is good because we have a radical idea to propose to them.
“Faced with the announced failure of the next presidential election, we think it is time to move to the 6th Republic to get France out of its lethargy.
“To launch this 6th Republic, we wish to strike a blow by electing a foreign President at the head of our beautiful country.
“Barack Obama has completed his second term as President of the United States on January 21, why not hire him as President for France?”
Posters have been put up in Paris promoting the campaign and the organisers have been interviewed on several national TV stations.
Since then several US and other European stations have featured the people behind the stunt.
The website says it aims to collect one million signatures by 15 March in order to persuade the former US president to stand.
It may struggle however, reports Sky News.

Victims of suspected murder-suicide in Hertfordshire, UK named as Nigerian man Olumide Orimoloye and wife

A couple who died from stab wounds in a suspected murder-suicide in the UK, on Sunday, February 19th, have been named by the police. Hazel Wilson-Bryant, 27, was found dead and Olumide Orimoloye, in critical condition from knife injuries on Sunday, after riot police stormed their home in Chestnut, Hertfordshire. Olumide died shortly afterwards.

Neighbours reported hearing a woman screaming for someone to call 999 and their children, a boy, 10, and a girl, 6, crying and begging their parents to stop, then a woman screaming for someone to call 999.
Piotr Ziemkiewicz, 32, a fork lift truck driver who called the police, said:
“The couple were always arguing, but this time it was on a different level. There were screams, banging and shouting and dogs barking. It was so intense that I feared someone was going to be killed. It went on for several minutes. The kids were shouting ‘stop daddy and stop mummy’ It sounded as though they were trying to break them apart.”
Armed cops carrying riot shields charged the door of the maisonette and found the pair with fatal stab wounds. Minutes earlier Ms Wilson-Bryant had been seen running terrified on to the balcony.
Neighbour James Coyne, 30, told the Hertfordshire Mercury he heard cries for help at around 1.15pm, just after showing a prospective lodger around his flat in nearby Leighton Court.
"It was shocking. I had heard arguments. The man had been aggressive and I have been worried about it before. I opened up the window to hear what was going on and then there she was in a bath robe on the balcony. She was screaming out ‘call 999’ in my direction. I realised it was pretty serious and I called 999 and they said they had already had a call,"
Paramedics were seen carrying the man after an air ambulance landed in the street outside the Hertfordshire home. A horrified onlooker said: “They spent about ten minutes trying to revive him.
"Eventually they put a sheet over him and I knew he was dead."

'China can easily deal with N.Korea, i want to expand our nuclear Arsenal to become the best' - Donald Trump's explodes

U.S President Donald Trump, has upped the ante on the Chinese government by claiming the Far East nation can deal with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un if they decide to and also revealed he plans to expand the nuclear capability of the United States to be the best in the world and surpass it's closest military rival.

According to the Ploughshares Fund, an anti-nuclear group, and the Arms control association, Russia has 7,000 warheads while the United States has 6,800, a situation Trump wants to reverse, in order for the U.S to regain it's military supremacy.
“I am the first one that would like to see ... nobody have nukes, but we’re never going to fall behind any country even if it’s a friendly country, we’re never going to fall behind on nuclear power.'' Trump said on Thursday in an exclusive interview with Reuters at the Oval office.
"It would be wonderful, a dream would be that no country would have nukes, but if countries are going to have nukes, we’re going to be at the top of the pack,"
Trump also talked about China and said he supports the E.U while also saying he will like to see Israel and Palestine settle their conflicts with a two-state solution.
"There's talks of a lot more than that," Trump said, when asked about the missile defence system. "We'll see what happens. But it's a very dangerous situation, and China can end it very quickly in my opinion."
Daryl Kimball, executive director of the independent Arms Control Association non-profit group said:
"Russia and the United States have far more weapons than is necessary to deter nuclear attack by the other or by another nuclear-armed country," .
Trump also said it was late to have a peaceful meeting with Kim Jong Un, blasting Obama's inability to solve the North Korean headache during his administration.
"It's very late. We're very angry at what he's done, and frankly this should have been taken care of during the Obama administration," he said.

Thief returns stolen van to mortuary after finding corpse in the back

A 24-year-old man stole two vans from the same mortuary and returned the first one when he discovered a fresh corpse in the back, according to a report.
Bobby Joe Washington, took off with van No. 1, which was parked with the keys left inside near a Chicago Avenue morgue in Riverside, around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
But an hour later, once he realized there was a cadaver in the back, he returned the van — and stole a second vehicle, sans body, cops said.

"I don’t think I’ve ever heard of anything like this," said  Riverside Police Department spokesman Ryan Railsback. Out of all the bad decisions he made, he at least made one good one and brought back the deceased person."
When a mortuary employee tried to stop him the second time around, Washington tried running that person over, authorities said. He then sent police on a 10-minute chase but was finally arrested about 2½ miles from the morgue.

Washington was charged with two counts of auto theft, one count of evading police and one count of assault with a deadly weapon. But he dodged charges of stealing the dead body because cops believe he didn’t intend to take it in the first place.
"We don’t think he knew it was in there at the time he stole it," Railsback said.
Police said the driver of the first van had just picked up a deceased person and briefly popped inside the morgue to pick up paperwork when Washington happened along.

PHOTOS: ROMANIA PROTESTS CONTINUE DESPITE REPEAL OF CORRUPTION DECREE (MUST SEE)

An estimated half a million Romanians have continued to protest against the government, with many calling on it to quit even after it scrapped the corruption legislation that sparked a week of public outrage.
The prime minister, Sorin Grindeanu, has stood firm, saying his government, which has been in office for barely a month, “has a responsibility to the people who voted for us” and would not resign.
The last six nights of large, noisy protests in cities and towns around the country have been the biggest outpouring of public anger since the toppling of the communist dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu in 1989.
The object of public anger was an emergency decree passed on Tuesday night that critics at home and abroad feared marked an alarming retreat in the battle against corruption, long the scourge of the EU’s second-poorest country.
Romania: government retracts controversial decree after protests
On Sunday, Grindeanu’s cabinet repealed the decree, but this failed to assuage protesters, many of them taking to the streets that night chanting “Resign! Resign!” as they waved flags, brandished signs and blew whistles and plastic horns in the national colours.
“They are corrupt. We want justice … the government will still try something [with the decree],” said Emma, 24, one of between 200,000 and 300,000 people estimated to have gathered at Victory Square in central Bucharest.
“They are liars and bad people,” said her friend Nicole, 25. “The government has to fall … We are going to come back here every night.”
The decree, which had been scheduled to come into force on 10 February, would have made abuse of power a crime punishable by jail only if the sums involved exceeded 200,000 lei (£38,000).
The government still plans, via a separate decree to be reviewed by parliament, to free about 2,500 prisoners serving sentences of less than five years.
Grindeanu’s Social Democrats (PSD) have argued the measures were meant to bring penal law into line with the constitution and reduce overcrowding in prisons. But critics see the moves as a brazen attempt to let off the many PSD officials and parliamentarians who have been caught in a major anti-corruption drive in recent years.
Almost 2,000 people were convicted for abuse of power between 2014 and 2016, and a serving prime minister, five ministers, 16 parliamentarians and five senators were put on trial.
Critics have said one beneficiary would be Liviu Dragnea, the head of the PSD who helped the party win a resounding election victory in December. Dragnea is barred from serving in government because of a conviction for voter fraud and is currently on trial for alleged abuse of power. He denies wrongdoing.
