After a short break from the launch of Tecno Phantom 6 and 6 Plus last year in Dubai, Tecno has been working underground, and its for
something big. A reliable source has released new batch of concept
images showing what could eventually become the next Tecno Camon smartphone which will be called Tecno Camon C10 or CX.
According to an insider, Tecno is planning a minor shake-over, the company is said to release only three flagship smartphones in 2017, compared to four annual flagships in the last two year. Digging further, it looks like the decision in line with the brand’s repositioning and global strategy since expanding into the Middle East and South American markets in the fourth quarter of 2016. However, Tecno is yet to release any official statement to support this claim so you are advised to take it with a grain of salt.
Enough said about the company’s strategy, let’s focus on the rumoured designs of the forth-coming CAMON smartphone. Designers are already teasing us with concept photos of the CAMON CX (CX sounds more interesting), while mobile tech pundits are predicting and talking about the next generation camera advancements and other features expected of the brand’s photo-centric product line.
Expected to launch in April, one thing can be seen in most of these Camon CX concept designs – a complete makeover in the camera department, and we can obviously understand why. Some tech influencers have even gone ahead to predict focus might be shifted to the front camera this time and expect to see features like low light technology, panorama and extremely wide angles take centre stage in the front camera. So, whether it’s a 16MP, 18MP or 20MP as widely speculated, the CAMON CX should come with outlandish camera specifications that will accord it the title of “the best Selfie camera under extreme lowlight” or generally, in extreme conditions.
Another interesting design we’ve seen depicts a combination of photography and sound as the key USPs of the next Camon, more like merging the features of the Boom J series into the Camon CX. The design shows a speaker grille rising from a side of the device and extending nicely to the rear covering of the concept phone.
Will the Camon CX debut an 18MP front and back camera, a 6.5FHD crisp display, several stunning shades or even get an international launch in South Africa? Will it come with a really large screen, maybe a 6 – 6.5 inch Full High Definition display, with more than 95% NTSC high saturation effect, 500nit brightness?
At this point we don’t have all the answers, so we can only make do with these different concept photos and hope that some of our wild imaginations might just come to reality. But trust us to continue to sniff around until we get a clearer picture of what this device looks like, exact date of launch and actual specs of the device. Stay tuned!
