The 43-year old who scored 16 goals in 90 appearances for the Eagles was a guest at the Commerzbank-Arena as Haris Seferovic's late strike sealed maximum points for Niko Kovač's men after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cancelled Szabolcs Huszti's opener.
As requested by the club's official Twitter page before the game, the former Nigeria international turned out to be their lucky charm as they move to the third spot in the Bundesliga.
