Rivers Police lifts ban on youth elections in the state

The Rivers State Police Command has announced the lift of ban on the existing embargo on youth elections in the state. The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP. Musa Kimo announced the lift of the ban in a statement issued to the press in Port Harcourt adding, that lift is the outcome of the consultation with relevant authorities in state. 

 

 CP. Musa Kimo therefore urges the youth to formally notify the police 48 hours ahead of any plan to conduct election to enable the police provide security for the election.

 It would be recalled the Commissioner of Police announced the imposition of the ban sometime in April due to unfavourable prevailing security circumstances in the state.
