Despite the popular belief that watermelon is composed only of water + sugar while in the real sense watermelon is purely a nutrient rich in many other nutrients, a food that provides a large number of vitamins + minerals + antioxidants with a minimal quantity of calories.

Watermelon also contains thiamine, riboflavin, vitamin B-6,nacin, pantothenic acid,afaolic acid, phosphorus,magnesium, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, Selenium, choline, betaine and lycopene. According to the National Watermelon Promotion Council, watermelon contains more lycopene than any other fruit or vegetable.
