So Sad!! Man killed in a fight over a bottle of beer

A 52-year-old man is expected to appear in the Centane Magistrate’s court on Tuesday after he allegedly killed a man over a dispute over beer, Eastern Cape police said.


Police spokesperson Captain Jackson Manatha said the man was arrested over the weekend for the alleged murder of 40-year-old Masixole Sonti.
“The deceased was stabbed on his upper body and later died at Butterworth Hospital. It is alleged that the deceased and the suspect had a misunderstanding over beer,” said Manatha.

The suspect faces a charge of murder.
